This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which the American Mahjong Ranking Authority ("AMR Authority," "we," "us," or "our") will provide refunds for fees paid for our services, including but not limited to annual membership dues, tournament registration fees, and purchases from our online store.

By purchasing any service or product from the AMR Authority, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Refund Policy.

Refund Policy

1) General Policy
Due to the digital and administrative nature of our core services, all sales are typically considered final. However, we are committed to fairness and will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis under the following guidelines.

2) Refund Eligibility by Service Type

A. Annual Membership Dues

• Refund Request Window: Membership fees may be refunded, in full, if a written refund request is submitted to us within 30 days of the original purchase date.

• After 30 Days: After 30 days, membership dues are non-refundable. This is because your membership grants immediate access to our ranking platform, administrative resources, and member benefits, which are not revocable.

• Exceptions: Exceptions may be made at the sole discretion of the AMR Authority in cases of proven duplicate payment or significant error on our part.

B. Tournament Registration Fees

• Player-Initiated Cancellation:

  • More than 7 Days Before Tournament: A full refund will be issued if the cancellation request is received more than 7 days before the scheduled start of the tournament.

  • Within 7 Days of Tournament: Refunds requested within 7 days of the tournament are not guaranteed. The refundability will depend on the policy of the specific tournament director and whether your spot can be filled from a waitlist. A administrative processing fee may be deducted.

• Tournament Cancellation by AMR Authority or Director: If a tournament is canceled by us or the official tournament director, all registered players will receive a full refund of their registration fee.

• No-Shows: Players who do not attend a tournament ("no-shows") are not eligible for a refund.

C. Digital Products (e.g., Rulebooks, Strategy Guides)

• All sales of digital downloads are final and non-refundable due to the immediate and non-returnable nature of the product.

D. Physical Products & Merchandise (e.g., Shirts, Card Sets)

• Damaged or Defective Items: We will gladly replace any item that arrives damaged or defective. Please contact us within 14 days of receipt with photos of the damage/defect.

• Returns for Store Credit: Unused items in their original packaging may be returned within 30 daysof receipt for store credit. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

• Refused Deliveries: Packages that are refused or unclaimed at delivery will be considered abandoned and are non-refundable.

4) How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, you must submit a formal request by emailing our support team at: info@amrauthority.com

Please include in your email:

• Your full name and player ID.

• The email address used for the purchase.

• The date of the purchase.

• The reason for your refund request.

• For tournaments: the name and date of the tournament.

5) Processing Time
Approved refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within ten (10) business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund to your account.

6) Dispute Resolution
The AMR Authority's decisions regarding refund eligibility are final. By purchasing our services, you agree to resolve any disputes related to payments or refunds through direct communication with us.

7) Changes to This Refund Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Changes will apply to all purchases made after the policy is posted.
